Hi. Welcome to my blog.
I enjoy writing about fitness and diet for regular people, unorthodox gym hacks, and modern-day male struggles. I am a master of "bro science" and always back up my ideas with plenty of anecdotal evidence.

Thanks to social media, I think fitness has become way too complicated. Fitness for regular people is not complex; it is actually pretty simple once you understand how the body works.

Achieving a basic level of fitness, improving overall health, reducing pain, or just looking good in a pair of jeans are easy goals to accomplish with a few lifestyle tweaks.

I'm a regular person with a stressful, full-time job. I struggled to get fit my ENTIRE life. I just couldn't get "there," but I never actually knew where "there" was.
I focused too much on which bandwagon diet to jump on, what time to have my last meal, and the latest training routine, and not enough on the bad habits, influences, and relationships, causing me to fail over and over again.

Another challenge for me is that I love food. My Hispanic family refers to me as a "tragon," which is the same as a "glutton" in English. I just love eating. I mean, I LOVE to eat.

There have been times at lunch or dinner when I have lost focus on what someone is saying because I can't stop thinking about the food they don't seem interested in finishing.

"Yeah, that's crazy, dude. Hey, real quick, are you going to finish the rest of that bagel?"

Most people are shocked when they see how much food I can make disappear. I can eat until I feel sick, then get up and do it again a couple of hours later. I've struggled with this toxic food relationship my entire life.

I am happy to say I finally got it together and figured out how to get in the best shape of my life while still enjoying junk food once in a while. Is it really worth it if I can't have McDonald's or some other garbage once in a blue moon?

No, no, it's not.
I love eating at McDonald's, especially at a good location with employees who care. I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Anyway, I literally figured out how to have my cake and eat it, too.
I don't write for SEO. I write it how I say it. You'll probably notice some typos and run-on sentences. We are casual around here, and a lot of what I write is satire.

I have learned what is most important in life is to be yourself and love yourself. Nobody is going to love you more than you.

In my opinion, the first step to loving yourself is learning to respect yourself by getting fit.

You deserve it.
Keep going. Learn to breathe. Don't sweat the small stuff!
It Doesn't Have to Be Boring....
True story, the day I took this photo, I ate Burger King.
I wasn't even mad or guilty about it.
Two whoppers, four royal crispy wraps, two small fries, and a Hershey's pie.

I didn't drink the soda; I was trying to be healthy.

I do bodyweight exercises for the most part and use a weighted vest to challenge myself.
Yeah I do some bodybuilder style stuff once in a while, but I could have achieved this body training in a broom closet.

It's not hard.
